Jazz pianist and composer, Cian Boylan returns to the National Concert Hall on the 1st July for a very special evening with his jazz quartet joined by an eclectic and formidable lineup of special guests, for an unmissable concert featuring scores and songs from the movies and tv arranged for jazz quartet andvocals, featuring music by John Williams, Dave Grusin, John Barry, Michel Legrand, Bernard Hermann, and Harold Arlen amongst many others.

Joining Cian is the amazing British jazz saxophonist Ben Castle (Sting, Tony Bennett, Quincy Jones, Jamie Cullum, etc). Ben is no stranger to the stage, having first performed aged only eight years old on TV and in front of large audiences with his father, the trumpeter and entertainer, Roy Castle. He has since gone on to win a British Jazz Award and two BBC jazz award nominations and a hugely successful career spanning all genres. Completing the quartet is the formidable young English drummer, Guy Rickarby and the fantastic American double bassist, Dan Bodwell.

For this show Cian is delighted to be joined by two very special guests on vocals, the fantastic Northern Irish singer-songwriter, and winner of the Meteor and Choice Music awards, Duke Special on vocals. Sharing vocal duties will be the wonderfully talented and beautiful May Kay from the fantastic band Fight Like Apes.
